My name is Vivian and I am a Brooklyn-based tattoo artist and illustrator. Drawing inspiration from humanity, dreams and the natural world with influences from East Asian art, surrealism and modernism, I create tattoos in a personal style that blends soft shading, blackwork and calligraphic lines. My background in illustration and design informs my work and I appreciate creating stories into art with your skin as my canvas.

I see tattooing as both an outlet for self-expression and a radical way to reclaim our bodies. The drawings I create are often meditations on how I perceive the human experience and our connection to nature. How do we connect with the world around us? To each other? To ourselves?

The ginseng root is known to heal energy depletion, clear negative forces and restore inner harmony. Traditions view it as a bridge between earth and humanity due to its human-like shape.
